Windows 10 Is The Worst OS Ever Created.

Yeah, but you're warwagon - I'm just a man. :(

Actually I was slightly off on my that particulars thread view count... Instead of 500,000 it was more like 15,000's :D

God, this went bad lol. Full disclosure, I PERSONALLY won't ever download an "alternate" version of Windows 10 because of stuff like this. But I will find copies for friends that are too cheap to buy a copy. With both situations, dozens of installs, I have NEVER run into this problem. I'm curious as to what is causing it.

I hate the "M$" thing in general (not only with MS, but with anything. Be an adult and use proper names.)

That said, on that post of running processes a few pages ago... there were a lot of suspect ones. I've never heard of the Windows process "girls" :-p

Okay, I took Mando's suggestion to use that Microsoft download tool, installed it, installed my software (mostly audio related,) and it seems to be running smooth for now. I will report back in if it continues to. Thank you all for your help too, but I just really find it strange that happened after a direct upgrade... Crossing my fingers!

HEY! I had Windows ME.........

wait, I take it back, you are correct :p

I was happy to get ME. Then after less then 1 week of using i went back to 98se. Everything seems slow and there was constant crashing. And i did not see ANY improvement at all.

The driver compatibility was just terrible. XP was not too great at first and neither was Vista. But what a mess ME was....

Actually, XP was a godsend compared to ME for me, ME would need to be dragged over broken glass at 100 MPH naked, before I upgrade my opinion of ME to 'sucked'

(that's not to say I never had problems with xp, the most trouble free os I've used to date is 7, I have 2 laptops now with win10, something's always breaking <usually the mail app> 1 was an 8.1 upgraded to 10, the other was bought as a win 10 laptop <I don't know if it's a clean install or upgrade, stopped caring)

YES!!! I hated ME with a passion man I swear. I was reluctant to move from 7 to 10. I literally just bought a copy less than a year ago.

I'm not saying it's a bad os, I'm just saying if I was desperate for a pee, and it was burning, and all I had to do was pee on it, and all would be fine, I'd go home and risk a burst bladder :p

I should mention other problems I had on this previous install which exactly happened to a previous-previous install... The exact same thing, and the other installation was also downloaded using a serial from the official MIcrosoft site that I was going to use on laptop and it was so spyware and virus ridden that I had to install Linux on it (now fine.)

Right and girls.exe from your screenshot is not suspicious at all! Perfectly legit

Personally, I'd recommend going to a friend's house, (or a Microsoft store <if applicable, not sure>) and get it downloaded and burned to a disk from there.....

if symptoms persist then I'd question the mac dual boot (unless it's going on a non dual boot machine)

Remember whenever you ask for help: Stop beating around the bush and respond properly to the people who want to help you.

Yeah sorry, since I'm in a kind of rage/anxiety mode, I meant to say I did the Windows upgrade from within my Windows 7 install on the mac SSD partition. In Bootcamp, I had to download the Windows driver files.

Based on this statement (which should have been clearly mentioned in your OP), looks like your Windows 7 was affected. Yet somehow the virus managed to surface only on Win 10.
Just out of Curiosity, how did you upgrade to Windows 10 from within your Windows 7?
1) Windows Update?
2) Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant? If yes, did you use the tool downloaded from this page? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

The best way, always, is to do a fresh install and discard that copy of Windows 7 you have. Better safe than sorry. Hope you have all your necessary files backed up.

I see some are trying to help and I know the title of the thread is irritating to many, I vented wrong and for that I apologize. However, I am still upset with the fact that it happened upon installation of an upgrade because I didn't have any problems with the Windows 7 that was on before. I'm using the Windows 10 setup that Mando provided and I'm going to just format the partition and start from scratch. "Maybe" I had some malware that didn't affect Windows 7 before, because the only files I had on it before were some .wav files for work, some Android update files and some drivers for rockbox and those are from trusted sites. I don't really know what has been going wrong, but hopefully this ISO will lead the way to Windows 10's divinity that a lot of people keep defending.

The whole fact of the matter is that if the security of W10 is so advanced, it shouldn't have been infected so bad, because I literally could not do anything and there were so many affected files in system folders that were inheriting privileges that I couldn't even remove and did so with no warning whatsoever, even disabling it's "Windows Defense." I didn't even get as far as being able to install any software after the upgrade, I didn't install one thing, I just opened Edge and boom, was all downhill from there.

Good, at least you acknowledged someone's solution . Also, only the text in bold is contributing to solving your problem. Please be precise, it helps us solve your problem faster and not hunt for your info. Also, this has nothing to do with Windows 10. If your Windows 7 installation also had the same problem, people here will still be saying the same thing.

Glad to know. I recommend you make sure that you run a full virus scan. Use Windows defender or Malwarebytes AntiMalware or any other AV of your choice.
And finally follow these simple steps: Keep the OS up to date. Regularly back up your data. Be cautious of what sites you visit and what you download. Run a virus scan periodically.

Hope your problem is solved and enjoy your Windows 10 experience. :)

Windows ME was awesome as long as you didn't install anything.

Oh really? Even though I got all of these damn trojans and malware? Right. I'm taking Mando's link advice and going to do a fresh install. I'm going to record it, too. While my posts were malevolent because of my anger, the amount of people adding gas to the fire is absolutely astounding. But I guess it comes with the territory of insulting everyone's beloved Windows 10 that I just got trojans on right after a new install.

Great security can't fix... the user.

Everything is running okay now I guess, installed exactly the same things as before and no issues so far. Thanks for the suggestion Mando and many others.

You are still ignoring all the major and most likely sources of infection suggested, pretending like they where never posted. while sticking to the ones you can pretend didn't happen. you haven't posted what image you used or the hash of it. you keep posting and making up impossible "infections". and you keep expecting windows to stop users from doing stupid things. guess what. if you actively choose to install "delete everything and send my address to every spam delivery in the world" app on MacOS, it will also do just that. in fact MacOS have much less security in this regard and others than Windows does. which might be one reason you possibly have a rootkit on your computer, provided this isn't all a made up troll post, which with all the inconsistencies and impossibilities i where I'm leaning, heavily, at least until you post what image you got, where you got it from and it's hash, and reply to all the previously suggested possibilities like rootkits and dns attacks among others.

I would be interested in those articles. I've used Rufus to create UEFI and legacy bios media since rtm.

But if his post is true and not all made up, why is he even using rufus at all, when he HAS an iso image, and bootcamp manager that he says he uses(for downloading the iso...) is for the sole purpose of taking the iso he already has and making the installation from it. rufus shouldn't be in this scenario at all, no matter how he does it it doesn't make sense.

Just a heads up to please have a civil exchange.

Thank you.

Uhhh, now you've made it sound like somebody's having a circumcision.

At least OP's problem has been fixed. Hopefully this thread of us showing our true selfs doesn't discourage him from asking questions here in the future.

It was actually a polite way to state, be on topic and be civil about it. or warns are next.

We have had some great advice so far....would like to keep it that way.

Thanks for your co-operation...:)
