Howard Davis
My OS is Win 7. My Firefox browser has started working slowly, often bouncing around among various data sources for a while before reaching the bookmarked site I selected. There are sometimes long waits for a response from the site once there, and some I just give up on because they are taking so long. Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. +Warwagon MVC Posted February 1, 2017 MVC Share Posted February 1, 2017 Try running off a different profile start firefox by typing firefox /p in the run box then create a new profile and try running off that and see if a new profile runs better. goretsky and Jose_49 2 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1321024-firefox-running-very-slowly-if-at-all/#findComment-597772558 Share on other sites

Howard Davis
The problem was due to a program running in the background, and is now fixed. Thanks for the advice. It was Acronis True Image. Due to improper settings, it was trying to send backup data to the "cloud" when it is only intended for an external hard drive.
