The iF Design Awards is an event that has been organized by the International Forum Design in Germany since 1953. It grants various companies awards in numerous categories including design, innovation, interior architecture, and professional concept, among other things.
Last year, Samsung won 38 awards at the event. This time, the company has improved upon its performance, bagging 49 awards for a number of products.
These 49 awards constituted of 35 for superior product design - one of which was a Gold award - seven for communication design, four for professional concept design, and three for packaging design. BK Yoon, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics, had the following to say about the company's achievements:
"Upgrading a product is easy but upgrading consumer lifestyle is difficult. We will continue to strive for design that entertains and fulfills the lives of our consumers through consumer-focused innovation."
The Korean giant received the Gold award in superior product design for its premium Windows 10 desktop ArtPC Pulse, which also features advanced expandable modules. The device sports a cylindrical design with aluminum bodywork, and what's referred to as "an exquisite expandable design", allowing you to "attach and remove expansion modules to customize your own system".
Samsung received 34 other awards in the same category for various products including the Galaxy S7 series, Gear S3 smartwatch, Galaxy C9 Pro handset, and the Smart Family Hub refrigerator, among others. You can check out further details by hitting the source link below.
