Upgrade IPB to 4.1.19.4 this weekend (May 13-14)

Version 4.1.19.4 of the IPS Community Suite is now available.

This includes a security patch and we recommend you upgrade as soon as possible.

We know security updates can be distracting but we take security very seriously and do not want to delay getting you the latest enhancements. As we continue to audit security hardening, we will do these focused update releases.

This release addresses two possible XSS scenarios.

Also included: 4.1.19.3
Fixes a security issue related to importing profile photos from URL.

Both updates are security ones and don't contain any new features. But I am told by @Redmak that the update will happen this weekend! :D

Hmm, interesting. Guest posting has been re-enabled with this update. Is that intentional?

That's old update.   That update was from May.

But not sure if guest post has been enabled for awhile now or not ...

I like guest post in case members have login issues...  so they reach out to support for login issues.

Some sites have disabled guest and link to the support page on how to contact for login issues.

If you run own forums, you can allow guest or not in one thread if you want to.

The guest poster in this case is a bot. You can tell by the dodgy link below their comment.

Guest posting is alright, but I feel it's a bot magnet. It's probably better for smaller forums with very little activity or traffic.

fell? you mean feel?

Anyway, you might be right about the bots.

I correctly the mistake long before you posted a reply. Doesn't matter though.

We should probably just move on. I don't want to completely derail this thread.
