A sad day for any 007 fan out there.  If it wasn't for all the work Roger put into all those Bond movies we probably never would have gotten as many as we have so far, he kept it going strong for so long.

Moore was also in the ITC TV series "The Saint".  The Bond producers were criticized for DARING to suggest a TV actor for the role (remember, Moore succeeded both Sean Connery and George Lazenby).  Not only did the move work, Moore was not the last TV actor to step into Bond's shoes. (Pierce Brosnan, anyone?)  Old-school suspense "spy night" - watch a Roger Moore 007 movie, followed by "The Saint" (same actor, remember); TBS made it possible.
