ReMad
Hi for Hyper-v vms live migration from 2012 and 2012 r 2 if we want to migrate between different networks ( i.e old server is on network 10.x.x.x and new 192.x.x.x ) then that will work if we add route between the IPs , right ? What are the ports needed to be open to make online migration here with no down time ? ( on the screen below in migration process ) on the incoming live migrations IPs list and if i want to connect other some vms via other switch than the ones connected to Hyper -v Servers then i make link between the switches and configure , but which ports or configuration is needed here ? Skiver Veteran Posted October 10, 2017 Veteran Share Posted October 10, 2017 TCP Port 6600 AFAIK As far as I understand, as long as those subnets are routable then you should be able to live migrate between the two. Worst case scenario, could you fire up a basic low spec VM, set up a constant ping and try the migration to prove your setup is working?
