We have moved the option to show or hide software and sponsored news to the user menu on the main news site, like so

I have asked @Timan to add the little green/red eye icons (from Minispy exclude/include) to show the current state of hidden or shown.. but if you hide one of them, it becomes bold text, the tooltip also provides a description.

 

Guests can use this feature by signing into Neowin, see the quick sign in options above this post to register! :)
