However, you're probably thinking of their 30 year anniversary and "Ubi30" promotion last year. If they ever give something away again, it'll most likely be announced on their Twitter account or the store in the Uplay client. However, SINCE "Ubi 30", they have given away at least two games during 2019 alone (one is "World in Conflict: Complete Edition" - which is free in Uplay right now - I downloaded it earlier today).
