ACTIONpack
Someone with a different user name change my role from admin to a lower role which I can't do anything on there anymore. I call the owner to see if anyone was changing anything on the website and they told me NO. Now I can't get do anything on the back end but changing info on my profile. I need to change my role on the website. I do have the hosting access to the website and is there anyway I can do on the hosting part to change the role or at least change the password of the other user so I can lock everything down? Nick H. Supervisor Posted October 12, 2017 Supervisor Share Posted October 12, 2017 Wouldn't filling out the account recovery form resolve the issue? There is a section where you can provide details of what happened. Not sure, but maybe they have a different admin doing the role now? Just thinking about it........ If you are hosting the site, you have root access or admin access to the database behind your wordpress site - then sure you can do anything want.
