I've heard of a few people it's been slow for but I can only wonder why. Weird reason to buy an X, in my opinion. There are a billion good reasons though, so hey. George P Global Moderator Posted November 9, 2017 Global Moderator Share Posted November 9, 2017 It should be faster on the X, though I haven't seen any comparisons between it and the OG/S as far as the dash goes, only for games. The only negative on the dash is that it's still 1080p, not 4k on 4k tvs like they originally said it would be. I believe they just left it native 1080p (upscaled to 4k) so they could give the game developers the extra 1GB of RAM it would take to run the dash at that res. So it's a positive trade off IMO, more RAM for games and so on. There are times when it seems to be a little faster, but not so much that it would justify buying an X from an S, JUST for that reason. techbeck Posted November 14, 2017 Share Posted November 14, 2017 Don't focus on the dashboard speed so much. Some of that is your net connection since the dashboard content updates/refreshes. I did notice an improvement tho on my X1X. Tho, that is not the only reason I got it. I plan on taking advantage of the 4k gaming and increased game load times. Of course the 4k recording and vid playback will be nice once I get a 4k TV. Just in the middle of finding a new place at the moment so don't want to move anything extra. fun fun.
