SirWeathers
I am having a problem with my Wii U gamepad. A few months ago, My toddler-cousin snatched the Wii U gamepad out of my sisters hands while he was playing Mariokart 8. Thus, he was running around with it and eventually dropped it, cracking the screen. Today, I finally got in a replacement and had it installed by my neighbor, who i can verify has fixed many other consoles and accessories properly. However, after the replacement, the Wii U gamepad no longer notices the screen. And when i tried to turn on the gamepad, the blue light indicator appeared for a couple of seconds, then faded back out. However, the console turns on properly, and all of the buttons work. Could someone help me figure this out?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted January 9, 2018 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2018 All you can do is tear it down again and check it was installed correctly and ensure no cables were damaged. If it was installed correctly then it may be a bad LCD and you'll need to order another or buy a replacement gamepad from Nintendo ($100~).
