Windows 10 Pro, Activation inside Virtual Machine

Ok.. my machine started off with Windows 7 Pro, and of course had no issues getting the digital license key when installing 10 Pro.

 

My question is.. I downloaded the newest ISO for build 17115.. and installed it via VMWare Workstation 14 to give it a test run.. check out the newer additions..etc.  During installation, I skipped adding the key, and I do have the option to activate it from my MS account.  Since the digital license is tied into the machine, will using it on the VM affect Windows on the actual machine itself?
