Specific DELL Latitude E4310 RAM?

Recommended Posts

I bought myself a simple E4310 laptop for some testing purposes.

I did have some previous RAM-sticks. However, when putting these into the Latitude E4310 is not working smoothly.

Is the specific "DELL RAM"? And if so, where do I have to pay attention to?

EDIT:

I tried 4GB PC3L12800 and 2GB PC3L 12800 RAM sticks

Crucial memory checker is teeling me that you need

DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V •

A max of 8GB...

What RAM are you using?

Dell stuff does not require dell specific RAM. Perhaps the BIOS cant recognize the 'L' RAM youre using. maybe need a BIOS update?

That is an old first-gen i-series.

It will not recognize the lower voltage DDR3L which is very much a newer and still current RAM used for extended battery life instead of DDR4 in the ultra-light category.

You need standard Laptop DDR3. I always recommend G.Skill for RAM.
