windows 10 Can't select anything from Start search > Build 17692.1004 (Slow ring)

When clicking on Start and then typing something, like Control (which returns Control Panel as a result) I then can't click on anything in the results from the image below.

 

 

What I get ^ Nothing in the window can be clicked on. Pretty useless! This by the way is for any search which returns results, not just legacy items

There can be a few reasons behind it. I would like to know more about the windows and updates.
For now, you can try signing out from the Microsoft account, restarting your computer followed by a sign in to the account again. 
Next, you could try checking any pending updates and updating all drivers in the system.
If this doesn't work then try running SFC.exe on the system to check for the corrupted files that would be playing a part role as an obstacle in a smooth system running.
