StaticX
The Tigers and Ivan Rodriguez have finally reached a verbal agreement on a four-year contract, both have reported that the two sides have agreed on a four-year, $40 million deal that includes clauses that would allow the Tigers to shorten the deal in case of injury. An announcement is expected to come on Monday. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/137181-mlb-pudge-and-tigers-agree-on-deal/ Share on other sites
redrope
Actually, MLB.com says that they have not reached a deal. You seem to have left a word out. 123_kid
I would prefer for the Tigers to get a couple of moderately good stars than one major star but what can you do. That's why my favorite home team is the Red Wings :). edit: 500 posts! ...I don't know who to thank...yeah, I'll save the big speech for a 1000 which should come in 2006. Ayepecks
Wow, the Tigers sure are going all-out this year... I wouldn't be surprised if they're around .500 by the end of the next season. I don't think they'll be going to the playoffs, but they'll be improved. ....
This deal suprises me. I can't believe he'd go from world series to Double A ball. Chad
Espn reports it as a done deal. I guess we know Pudge values money over winning. Glad the Cubs didn't get him now. BroChaos Veteran Posted February 3, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 3, 2004 so what, marlins are doing the same thing they did in 97 or whenver it was? build a winning team, and then trade everyone away? Chad
so what, marlins are doing the same thing they did in 97 or whenver it was? build a winning team, and then trade everyone away? It looks like it doesn't it. This year the owners claimed that wasn't their intention. They've traded away Derrick Lee to the Cubs for little return, and just lost their best player to Detroit. IlliniPi
Tigers still don't have any pitching. I'm just happy that the Twins lost Pierzinsky (however ya spell it). Gives the Sox a step up. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/137181-mlb-pudge-and-tigers-agree-on-deal/#findComment-1685779 Share on other sites
