HipHopaholic
I dont know wassup with my sister comp, but the font on her comp is so big. And it is so ignoring. Just look at the pics below. How can i make it a different font or something that will elimate the HUGE FONT :( Check the first pic, the font is so big that the transparency setting is cut off. ALL i know is that she been deleting fonts out of the font folder. Maybe that was the problem. I tried system restore but nothing happens. chavo
She probably deleted the main shell dialog fonts. Ms Sans Serif or Tahoma or Arial. You can either put those fonts back or do what I do. Open this key in registry editor. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes] You can then specify font substitutes for dialog fonts. I change all of mine to verdana because I like a nice even look. Sometimes text gets cut off with verdana, but it's not that often. Anyway before you go mucking around in the registry back it up. Attaching a .reg that will change all substitutions to verdanda, just replace verdana with whatever font you want to use. Of course the easiest thing would be to get her to stop deleting them. dreamz Veteran Posted February 1, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 1, 2004 do that on the other computer and see what turns up. you might also try playing with the font settings in the display properties > appearance > advanced. you could also try: display properties > settings > advanced > general > dpi setting. Dick Montage
I had that exact same issue, and it occured when I had replaced a bunch of system fonts. However, I had only just installed, and so just did a re-install. Sorry.
