Firebird .8 Next Monday

yep too much effort to hit ctrl+k (small bug...doesnt show the blinking line in the box though) and start typing

Works fine for me :whistle:

works for me when i start typing or if i type and hit backspace it shows it...but when i just hit ctrl+k is does not show...also sometimes hovering over links does not show the link in the status bar...like neowin links i can't hover over and see the address in the statusbar

I've been waiting for this too - loved the recent nightlies - if they're anything to go by this will be the release that gives even more reason for people to switch to FB, especially with the very smart d/l manager.

I love using Firebird as my main browser, but have they done anything about (for windows):

1. Pages and tabs locking up after loading Java code

2. The program sometimes remaining in memory and preventing other instances from being opened

yeah i wondered about #2 also .. hasnt happened to me lately though .. :huh:

Neither happen to me.. Using 1/31 nightly.

Woah wait wait, Firebird and Mozilla are the same things?

No, they're not. Mozilla is an entire "suite" (browser, mail, news). Firebird is only a browser, using some of the base Mozilla code, but written to be small and lightweight. However, at some point in the future, Mozilla as we know it will cease to exist, and Firebird will be known as "Mozilla Browser"
