The first thing I would do is ask why they didn't read their manual. The door locks are powered by a regular 12 volt battery, not the drive system battery. 12 volt batteries can and do fail, in any car. The specifics vary by model but, There is a way to manually open the frunk (front trunk). In there is a panel which can be removed to give access to the 12 volt battery. Apply jumper cabless, or you can get one of those battery powered jump starters and connect it. Now open your door using the card or app. Let the jumper stay on to recharge the 12v battery, then have the battery checked. Sure...my vehicle is keyless entry and push button start...but there is a physical key in the FOB. ...also didn't need to read the instruction manual on how to open my damn door. If the battery was dead in the Tesla...why did it lock the doors on exit with such little 12v juice remaining.
