How to dissasemble/remove LG monitor from its stand?

Recommended Posts

So this thread here got locked for god knows why, because the question was never answered.

The question is how to remove the back plastic cover that exposes the screws to remove the full stand.

People answered with "it can't be removed" which obviously is incorrect given the lock symbol in plain sight.

Some people sort of said how. One guy just ripped the thing out breaking all types of plastic around it off.

The lock is a Kensington lock for attaching the monitor to a security cable, it has nothing to do with the stand.

The manual describes the process for removing the stand:

Sure it was.  The answer was to read the manual ... the OP managed to get the stand off about 6 posts later.  The last post gave the reason why the thread was locked.

That's not the correct answer.  It's for a security cable (as stated in the original thread).

Guessing he didn't read the manual ... and his posts were almost a year after the original.  Then it just started getting messy ... which is why it got locked.

tl;dr

The OP resolved his issue.  Everything else that followed was just muddy and messy...so it was locked.
