I'm torn on this, on the one hand it does look like it was self-defense, which I guess is all that matters. On the other hand, the photos of him walking around with an assault rifle, he's was either going to look just look like a gun loving nut, or was actually going to pull the trigger, kill someone and have to face the consequences. In this case I think he managed to do both.

A lot of people making a lot of assumptions is all I've seen.  I don't approve of what happened from what I've heard so far, but that doesn't mean anything illegal happened.

Seems like the star witness just urinated all over the prosecutions case. What got me is, the guys shot were ALL felons. the guy who got a part of his bicep blown off, ADMITTED, he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse BEFORE Rittenhouse shot him.

That was when the case went from Rittenhouse being an alleged murderer, to self defense... instantly. Why wasn't the star witness arrested for being a felon being in possession of a firearm, and attempted murder?

He is going to get off.

That judge has shown clear bias from the very beginning (such as the prosecutors couldn't describe the people Kyle killed "victims" but the defense could describe them as a "rioters", "looters" and "arsonists")

I don't think the judge is being biased, the prosecutor is just being stupid.  Most of  the prosecution's witnesses are helping Rittenhouse and he is not following the orders of the judge.

They probably can't be considered victims until it is proven that Rittenhouse committed a crime and the people on video lighting fires, looting, and rioting are clearly rioters, looters and arsonists.  Rittenhouse could end up being the victim if he is found not guilty.

don't forget George Floyds nephew is even out there threatening the jury if Rittenhouse is freed. The Judge verified days ago that someone was/had in fact video taping the jurors to DOX them.

I saw that.  In fact I think police had to intervene and remove people photographing and threatening to DOX the jurors.

The whole narrative of the media and deep state has collapsed. The world is watching.

Different places, different cultures -  IDIC. Don't screw with people where carrying a weapon in public is a common practice.

In 2012 Birmingham MI  cops arrested a young man carrying a loaded M1 Garand. He was taking it to a gun shop for work. Prosecutor made a big deal, nightly news, etc. Acquitted; Link...

I agree.  Regardless of how you feel about this look back at how this was covered by the media and what is coming out in court.  People were banned from social media for saying what is now coming out in court, etc.  This isn't an isolated incident either.  Reporting has gotten so bad that it is tough to believe anything anymore.

Grosskreutz wasn't a felon ... that kinda throws your whole image into question.

It doesn't matter if he is legally guilty or not. The judge is a hard core right winger and a sympathizer. He is doing everything he can to sabotage the prosecution.  And as usual right wingers care nothing for laws but only their ideology. If by some miracle he is found guilty I can see the judge setting aside the verdict.

I don't think the prosecution needed any help sabotaging their case.  All of the witnesses pretty much corroborated Rittenhouses' story.

What laws aren't being cared about?  I think for the most part the laws have been shown to be on Rittenhouse's side.

He wasn't a law abiding citizen either.  He still wasn't legal to carry the Glock pistol that he possessed.  He was by no means an innocent protester.

I watched that video and it left me confused.  It seems to me that Rittenhouse having stated 2 weeks earlier that he wished he had his gun with him so he could kill looters is VERY VERY RELEVANT to what happened that night, yet the judge disallowed it?  Why?!  It shows a clear propensity towards murder...

This isn't the UK system, so there are sometimes glaring  differences.

KR's shoplifting comments were  excluded as being prejudicial and temporally  disconnected from the Kenosha events. The judge had ruled, but the prosecutor kept on - a good way to tick off said judge. The proper thing would be to have a conference in the judge's chamber and hash it out again, but nooo...stuck on stoopid.

The prosecutor hitting KR for his pre-trial silence is a bright-line violation of his 5th Amendment rights against self-incrimination. It's been  improper to use that since the Miranda v. Arizona decision in 1966.

The prosecutor is doing a great job of that all by himself.

The prosecution sabotaged itself. Its star witness testified HE pointed his firearm at Rittenhouse first. Then there's also this..

OK?  He isn't a felon as Sun's image stated.  Apparently, the only reason he wasn't legal to carry was because his permit expired.  Probably should have been shot twice for that. /s

Care to back up that he was "by no means an innocent protester" and that he was anything other than a medic at the protests (as he did in Milwaukee during the Floyd protests)?  I mean...he is a paramedic.  Fact.

Also, fact, he isn't a felon.

I don't care much about the outcome of this case cause it seems like the whole situation at the protest was stupidity by all involved.  But the judge here clearly made his mind up ahead of this mock trial.

  • He's gone on religious rants
  • Demanded that the victims not be called victims
  • Why did the mom take him to this protest
  • Why did he show up armed if he was there to "help out"
  • His entire defense story has been ridiculous

In my mind Rittenhouse is a murderer.

He crossed state lines to be there.

He planned to do this.

To me this is all premeditated.

He needs to go to jail.

Your mind isn't what was presented in court though

From my understanding he isn't a trained paramedic.  He knew first aid from working as a lifeguard.  What paramedic carries an illegal gun?  He was shot for pointing a gun at someone

Quote

Grosskreutz, a paramedic from Milwaukee, had attended dozens of Black Lives Matter demonstrations that summer, acting as a medic and legal observer. He carried medical supplies, made livestreams of the events and wore a hat that read "paramedic."

//

Grosskreutz testified in detail about his medical education and training, and his experience working as an EMT and a paramedic for a private ambulance company in Milwaukee.
