One video did show a muzzle flash near his position, so he could reasonably think he was being targeted. If he heard the telltale sizzling whistle of a passing bullet he'd be pretty sure of it. You never forget that sound.

This is laughable. And shows just how much of a lost cause this country is becoming. It's one thing to be proud, but this type of nationalism blinds you to the rest of the world. We are hardly the last bastion of freedom, there are plenty of other first world countries out there who have far exceeded your views of "freedom". All while the deficiencies/gaps in education, salary, opportunities, health, race widen here.

The entire last two decades have been ran on emotion... from fear of terrorists (2004 election), to the anger of wall street and big banks (2008), to an entire generation feeling like they've been left behind and stomped on (2016), to finding someone that wouldn't ignore an entire pandemic and not make us a laughing stock of the world.
