How am I not healthy?

Look at me I am decently strong.. never broke any bones.. All muscle.

RPM, just any excuse to post a pic of yourself riding your bike eh?.... Besides ... I don't see an ounce of muscle or fat on you, you're just skin and bones... hah which may appear "healthy" but in reality all it simply proves is you have a fast metabolic rate! It will catch up with you as you get older as your metabolism will slow down.

Btw, I really couldn't care less if you continue to eat like that, I'll just laugh at you when your older when you do finally get fat and have hear disease and God knows what else related to poor diet.

I have warned you!

there is no such thing as healthy food in america..

and now "low carb" is the cool thing to eat and talk about  all these subway and carls jr commercials with "atkins approved" food and low fat.. BS!

in high school we had fat food and more fattening food.. at the carts.. we had soda, juice, chips, fake taco bell burritos, pizza.

in the cafeteria, we had soda, juice, coffee, burrito, salad, tortilla salad, hamburger, cheese burgers, chicken burgers, chili cheese fries,.....

the best food we have ever had was for the 1st year i was there.. we had a burrito wrap.. the good thing about it was IT WAS REAL FOOD. they took it off the menu because it cost the school a lot of money.

but now that i'm in college i can eat anything i wish to eat.

Avanti's (local italian place)

Avanti's is the best; I love that place.

Governor Blagojevich of Illinois is considering getting rid of all pop and snack machines in all public schools in Illinois. I know this from my school and some others, that schools bring in a lot of extra spending money from pop machines and that would be a huge loss. :/

man from what i read (first 2 pages), the school youre going to are more like prisons!!! i mean i used to go HOME to eat lunch in first grade!! and i had to walk 10 min to go home..... in high school most people go out to eat (i used to go to school for 20 min and leave class to go to mcdonalds and get breakfast then when i'd come back it would be lunch so i'd go out again until the end of the day lol

but now that i am in university, i just eat when i get home since im usually done for the day around 11am

well, we don't have anything special at all. Our cafeteria, which isn't really a cafeteria serves various things throughout the week, along with pepperoni rolls on Monday and Tuesday, followed by pizza on Wed. and Thurs. and whatever they decide to make on Friday. It's a really sad lunch program thing. One of our teachers was going to start catering it, but all the old volunteers got upset so he didn't. He had some really good ideas on how to get a somewhat normal lunch program.

well after we go out in the yard for some excercise, and some knifings if its tuesday, we goto lunch in shifts since it connot handle the inmates.. i mean students, all at once. the menu sucks though but we have no real choices being inmates... i mean students. the crimal system.. i mean educational, needs funding. so most of the time i eat pocket lint cause my lunch gets stolen by my cell mate... err fellow student, bubba. please don't ask me about "play time"

you guys that can't go off campus are in jail right? i don't think at any school i went too we had that garbage. elem / jr high / high / univ / tech. well in high school we HAD to go off the school grounds to smoke.

I been at 3 high schools, 1 in Michigan had the best chilli cheese fries I have ever had.., 1 in PA was the worst food, kinda felt like it was old and donated.., my other in PA was OK but we had the option to leave for lunch so normally we had Wendy's (99c menu is nice) ;)

As for College, I used most my cafeteria money on a place that had burger king and a chicken place, good food there lol :)

We used to leave school for lunch, but then some kids went to the rival school in our area and torched their football feild... so we can't leave anymore.

unless you eat lunch at the second last period of the day and everything is then spoiled/rotten by then.

True, I eat lunch at around 12:25 P.M and have been bringing it since 4th grade. . I guess I could say I save my parents a lot of money (over $500 a year), but it takes forever to get lunch and the food doesn't taste as good. So why would you waste time getting something that doesn't taste as good as usual? Plus, I would have less time to eat it. I love bringing my own lunch because it's always what I want. Also I am half-way finished by the time my friends come sit with me with their "school bought lunches." I also like having lunch late because after lunch I have a study (7th period). :D

Note: Just posting picture.. It's one of the few with me in shorts. See I have no fat on my legs or arms.

Why should I justify my eating habits for being healthy when I am healthly?

im exactly like you, eat all you want and not gain a pound. i ate all last summer and lost a pound, go figure. but you maybe be healthy outside but i bet your arteries are damn near clogged.

i usually bring a sandwich from home and get a drink (nestea). you can only leave school grounds by me, legally if you are in National Honor Society(smart kids).

My highschool was on the outskirts of the main city. We could drive to London if we wanted to anytime we wanted. They didn't care.

My college, we have 2 Tim Horton's, Mr. Sub, Pizza Pizza, a couple in house restaraunts and a bunch of places around the area. Since I'm in graphic design we aren't allowed to eat or drink in the computer labs but I have some food with me right now (don't tell Stu). I just won't make a mess.

The Definitive UK School Eatery Post :)

High School (Age 11-16)

At my High School, like most, we were literally fenced in for the day, and of course none of the students had cars since the legal driving age in the UK is 17. We had a cafeteria that sold crap food at high prices. We also had a couple of vending machines. No eating was allowed in class (unless you had a really cool teacher.) We ate in Drama class because it was fairly laid back. Most teachers would allow you to drink bottled water in class, particularly at age 15/16. In the last two years at High School it wasn't that difficult to get out of school and go to the chippy or something. Teachers generally turned a blind eye. Of course, the 'better students' like myself (;)) usually found a way of getting permission to leave school grounds at lunch anyway. The sixth form students (Age 17-18) were allowed to come and go as they pleased, and even got the combo to the locks on the main gate.

College (Age 17-18)

College was much more laid back. We were allowed to come and go as we pleased; cars and all. As long we were in classes, it didn't matter. Like high school, eating in classrooms generally wasn't allowed but drinking was. They even allowed smoking at college, and had dedicated smoking shelters. My college also had a cafeteria, and although it was better than High School, it was still expensive and crap.

University (Age 18+)

I think we all know what Uni's like. We didn't even have to turn up for classes. In fact it's general practise for a group of friends who have the same class to skip class, and just send one member of the group to take notes, which are photocopied later. We took turns in being the one to go to classes :). Eating still isn't allowed in the lecture theatres though. :)
