48gb Ram installed - Windows 10 shows 48gb installed but is saying that only 24gb is usable

Hi,

 

I have 48gb of Ram installed on my system (Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite - with the latest bios installed) Windows 10 is showing the full 48gb of Ram but is saying that only 23.9gb is usable. 

 

Bios is up to date and is showing the full 48gb.

 

I have noticed that Memory under Task Manager is stating Hardware reserved 24.1gb 

 

Why?

Is the RAM on the QVL for this Mobo?

It's either a BIOS issue, check if there is a update for you to flash on your motherboard or the RAM itself has a problem. You'll only know for sure if you take out sticks and see if anything changes.
