Green Screen of Death? Drivers - AMD Issues? Build 21387

Recommended Posts

So I've recently updated to Windows build 21387 and decided to update my AMD drivers. I have a Lenovo ideapad 330S with AMD CPU/GPU. I've attached images of what I believe is causing the errors because if I click to update the drivers, I instantly get a green screen of death. I found in the dump files;

On Tue 5/25/2021 1:35:42 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\052521-6125-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x413A60)
Bugcheck code: 0x1E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0x0, 0x8, 0x0)
Error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating (thermal issue) or because of a buggy driver.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I'm not sure what to do here..

Hello,

I have moved your post from the Windows section to the The Fast Ring (Insider Previews) section of the forum, where the beta tester's versions of Windows are discussed.  Hopefully one of the other beta testers may be able to suggest something.
