kiddingguy
My current mouse -Razer Basilisk Ultimate- (and previously the Asus Chakram) have stutterings and random freezes on my gaming notebook (Asus ROG Strix GL731GV, with 144 Hz display) Can the SteelSeries Rival 650 (wireless) be of 'solution' here as to not have these stutterings and random freezes? Different brand, different USB adapter, hopefully different wireless technology... Or is another gaming mouse a better option. I usually play some FPS, and strategy games. I run Windows 10, 64 bit, 21H1 w/ all updates, 16 GB RAM & GeForce RTX 2060 (latest nvidia drivers 471.11). I mentioned in your other thread that I am using the Razer Orochi V2 (even provided you the correct amazon location for you! ) kiddingguy 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1409405-new-gaming-mouse-is-steelseries-rival-650-wireless-an-option/#findComment-598658170 Share on other sites
goretsky Supervisor Posted July 5, 2021 Supervisor Share Posted July 5, 2021 Hello, Before you purchase a replacement mouse, have you tried making the following registry edit? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\VID_8087&PID_0026\5&ed1e05a&0&10\Device Parameters] "DeviceSelectiveSuspended"=DWORD:00000000 "SelectiveSuspendEnabled"=DWORD:00000000 "SelectiveSuspendSupported"=DWORD:00000000 This is mentioned as a fix for Bluetooth issues using Intel Evo-based systems in several manufacturer's support forums, including Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo, as well as Intel's own support forum. As always, I would suggest backing up the registry key along with any important data before editing the registry, just in case.
