Is this Mosfat meant to be missing or has it broken off my PCB? [GTX 1080tt OC]

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

I'm aware you all have a lot more knowledge than I do when it comes to PCs so I'd like to present you my new 1080tt that turned up broken..

Down below are some images of the back of the PCB, I've indicated what looks like a Mosfat socket (yellow slot next to the rest) , but with no Mosfat inserted.. (or whatever on God's green earth they are)16301961472227032682303353095473.thumb.jpg.7dd37cd53f5a9414fea343413f5ab4f4.jpg

I'm just wondering if that empty slot is common with the cards or do I have a broken one that needs replacing?

Thanks guys, looking forward to your response.

It is supposed to be like that...

You can see it on the NewEgg product images...

Phew, okay thanks for your rapid and helpful response.

Card led still flashes when plugged in, looked it up and apparently it's getting abnormal power so I'm going to try and clean it, one of the screws to take the case on the card off happens to be rounded off, it's not like a bolt that I can just take a grinding disc too, how do I get around a screw that's been chewed up?
