neufuse Veteran Posted September 12, 2021 Veteran Share Posted September 12, 2021 I work very little with linux, but I need "integrated" security for one app to connect to one of our SQL Servers which requires Windows Authentication. I think I can do this with the JDBC driver and Kerberos. But I think I need to join my Linux VM to our AD and have a realm set up. I'm using the current version of Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 LTS. Any suggestions on how to do this? anyone that has experience or know of any issues I may run into? I already tried one guide but got no where, always said I'm not authorized to join the realm / domain..... yet it's a domain admin account I was using.
