nekrosoft13
I got few system in the house that have HDR capable monitor/card/drivers etc... running windows 11. I can enable HDR, and everything is fine, but when I turn the monitor off and back on, HDR will be OFF. Every single time, is there a way to fix that? SeMTeX-cZe
I had the same problem and I have found the solution after long 3hrs 😁. Disable the new auto HDR function. It solved the problem on my LG G1 TV. goretsky 1 Share

nekrosoft13
this issue is getting weirder... So i have few Windows 11 machines and few HDR displays. Windows 11 + TCL HDR 4K TV --- HDR keeps turning off every time I turn off the TV Windows 11 + Hisense HDR 4K TV --- HDR keeps turning off every time I turn off the TV WIndows 11 + HP 1440P HDR Monitor --- HDR keeps turning off every time I turn off the monitor Now last week I bought a new monitor Windows 11 + LG 1440P HDR Monitor - and HDR stays on, even after I turn off the monitor. I have a LG 1440p (27GP83B) which had the exact same issue. A firmware update corrected it and it works as expected now. https://www.lg.com/us/support/software-firmware-drivers Not sure about the other stuff you listed (I only use HDR in games, like Doom Eternal nor do I have 11). goretsky 1 Share
DCRX2020
I mean, this isn't a solution to why it's turning off, but turning it on is just a matter of pressing Win+Alt+B. I remember mine did that sometimes, but I got used to turning it on when I wanted, because I didn't like HDR everytime, anyway.
OldGuru
I don't know about your but HDR does not work in Windows. Windows looks terrible, colors washed out. I was really looking for Auto HDR option to turn HDR ON when I game, and when I am in Windows automatically turns off. Microsoft completely missed a point here. nekrosoft13
After some tweaking I got the HDR look to where I wanted... But only one of four of my HDR capable displays will keep the HDR on after I power cycle the display... I still can't figure out why the hell its doing that..
