Toshiba Tecra R950-104 upgrades

So i'm doing some upgrades to a Tecra R950-104 and i would like to know if there is any core i7 available to this computer? I know the cpu is easily removable.

Also would like to know if it is possible to upgrade it's Wifi board (which is also removable) to the newest wifi 6?

No it's not. I already opened and the CPU can be easily removed.

What CPU do you have in it now?

 

As per that link above, here's your options:

 

Core i5-3320M $199

Core i5-3230M $100

Core i5-3340M $??

Core i7-3540M  $109

Core i5-3210M  $230

 

and the difference between them all are nil. So I wouldn't look at upgrading the CPU, but you can go with more RAM, an SSD.

 

I think you can get a new wifi card, but the card has to be supported by the board. You aren't gonna hit WiFi 6 with that, even if it was USB2..
