Which stable and reliable browser? That it be secondary or alternative. (other than google chrome)

I want a browser that is stable for browsing and logging in and logging into important sites. What good browsers, other than google chrome from google. That it is stable that it doesn't close for small problems, that it is secondary to use together with its main one, that it is stable, reliable, updated, etc.

Firefox (with uBlock Origin (by Raymond Hill) extension installed (without this extension the internet would suck, although it may interfere with some sites but it's largely okay in my experience)). it's been pretty much my primary browser since probably somewhere around the mid-2000's as I think it's the all around best browser in feel/extensions. I think I used Palemoon for a while at some point in the past (which is similar to Firefox) but ultimately went back to Firefox.

 

but looking around online in terms of market share, there seems to be only four that have at least 5% or more of the market (according to netmarkshare.com), which are...

 

1)Chrome (69.28%)

2)Edge (7.75%)

3)Firefox (7.48%)  (note: the last I knew this was #2 for years but must have been overtaken by Edge in fairly recent memory)

4)Internet Explorer (5.21%)

 

but if websites working is paramount for you then Chrome would be the safest choice naturally since it's the dominate browser and just about everyone uses it so I would assume websites are generally designed around it. but I guess if one wants to you can play around with alternatives, but I just stick to Firefox (with a handful of extensions) for general usage and have Chrome installed (with no extensions) as a backup browser for me.

Hell yeah.

 

I love Brave (though I am not sure about the name choice...) 

 

I certainly prefer it to chrome and while I also use Firefox... I am sticking to Brave more and more.

 

On my cell phone I use Brave.

 

On desktop - Firefox with a lot of extensions that focus on privacy and anti ads...

 

But maybe I should just use Brave as it seems to do all the stuff that I want put of the box....

Other than Firefox, I think Brave is a great choice.  My biggest concern about Brave is that, being Chromium based, they're completely dependent on the Chromium/Blink source code from Google, whereas Firefox is its own independent project.  That said, Firefox is also almost completely dependent on Google for revenue, and Brave is at least trying to stand up their own means of earning money.

 

Being based on Chromium Brave is fast, has lots of extensions via the Chrome extension store, and also has all sorts of built-in privacy options, ad blocking, etc.  The Brave "Shields" as they call them seem to work as good or better than uBlock Origin, even blocking YouTube ads, but without breaking other sites as often as uBlock.
