Creating a website home screen shortcut

I am wondering if there is a way to create a shortcut of a website (URL) and place it on my home screen? If so, how do I do it plz? I am using google chrome and nova launcher.

click the 3 dots in chrome and select "add to homescreen"? is that still an option on Android?

Dont forget i am using nova setting as my launcher so that  option might be used only on stock launcher. I am not 100% sure on that though. However, I  do see an option of "desktop site" but when i put a check mark next to it as an option nothing shows up on my home screen.

I use nova as well.  The option talked about above will work with any launcher and is a chrome browser function.
