When Fallout 76 first launched in 2018, the game received mixed reviews due to its lackluster content. Since then, Bethesda has added private servers, computer-controlled characters, new challenges, and much more. The title is a complex and engaging online role-playing game that keeps on getting new content every couple of months.
Today, the developer announced some exciting additions to Fallout 76 that should make their way into the game soon. You can take a look at them below. Aliens and the city of Pittsburgh are the highlights in my opinion.
- In the spring, Fallout 76 will be invaded by aliens. The encounters will be random, but the aliens will be quite challenging to overcome.
- In the summer, the game will get arena fights where you have to take on deadly automatons.
- In the fall, you can visit Pittsburgh and take on new missions.
- Lastly, in the winter, a Nuka-World traveling roadshow will visit the game, bringing new hurdles to overcome.
It's great to see that Bethesda is aggressively supporting Fallout 76 even after all these years. The title wasn't as popular as the team had hoped at launch, but they stuck with it and now it's one of the most engaging games on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Teams like BioWare could learn from this example because that developer abandoned Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda.
