JustGeorge
If you were going to use a flash drive as a secondary backup for a linux system, what would be the preferred file system? I'm thinking exfat since this flash drive would also need to be accessible from a Windows machine, should the need arise. Thoughts? i_was_here
+1 for exFat. It's how I format my USB drive for exactly cross-platform compatibility. KaoDome
So exFAT is the way to go? I'm using NTFS for now, never gave it much of a thought. I think macOS isn't happy with it, but I have none around. In any case as long as there is one that's half decent and works across them all I'm happy 😊 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1417469-preferred-file-system-for-flash-drives-in-linux/#findComment-598728473 Share on other sites
