Microsoft July 2022 update for Windows 10 brings mysterious "features"

A few days ago, Microsoft released KB5015807, officially titled "2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1". This update adds two mysterious toggle buttons to the Settings apps:

You can find these settings under "Update & Security" tile > "Recovery" tab > "Support" section.

The two toggle buttons read:

  • Collect dumps with logs.
  • Collect!

These poorly worded items have no additional explanations.

Not at home too check this out myself...but that looks weird.  What happens if you try to toggle them "on"?

My thoughts:

Looks very unfinished so I'm wondering if it's just a "whoops" by Microsoft.  Maybe they are in the process of migrating the crash dump settings from the old Control Panel's Advanced System Settings to there...but it isn't finished and wasn't meant to be shown?    ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
