Windows 11 : Ease cursor movement between displays

Recommended Posts

For anyone else who this might be annoying.

For a while now after upgrading my Windows 11 main 4 monitor setup to 22H2 something had been annoying me. Whenever I would touch the top of my right monitor where there was no screen above it (Top right corner) the mouse would teleport over to my top left monitor. It was really annoying.

So today after being annoyed for a little over a month I thought I would take a moment and look into it. Turns out the culprit was a feature in display settings called "Ease cursor movement between displays".

Now when I put my mouse in that same dead corner, it feels like my mouse hits a brick wall just like before and not automatically jumping to the top left monitor

Never had that problem.. Interesting..

Part of the problem was my top right monitor wasn't configured low enough, so when I would move my mouse up and touch the top of the bottom right monitor it was like I was hitting that same wall and it would teleport. To get the mouse up to the top you kind of had to ram it lol. Once I lowered the screen more in the display settings now it just smoothly goes from top to bottom.

Thank you for this post. I have a 4k monitor on my desk and a 1080p monitor on the wall across from my desk. I like having a small area on the main monitor where the mouse will go across with the rest of the 4k side blocking the mouse. With this enabled my mouse would also cross to the wall mounted monitor and it was driving me nuts. image.png.6ffefb067840a9608afd2793a05340b1.png
