patseguin Global Moderator Posted September 22, 2022 Global Moderator Share Posted September 22, 2022 I'm not sure this is a hardware issue, but it might have to be. I haven't always had this issue at work. On certain websites, text is almost totally unreadable because it is so light. I'm using Edge Insider Beta, and tried Chrome and Firefox and all 3 do it. ANyone know what might be going on? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1421735-text-not-displaying-properly/ Share on other sites
jnelsoninjax
If all 3 browsers are doing it then I would look at the display drivers, check if there is an update. Barring that, maybe its an Windows Accessibly setting, or clear type I think it's called? +primortal Subscriber² Posted September 22, 2022 Subscriber² Share Posted September 22, 2022 Can you take a look at the CSS and see what font(s) the site is using? I wonder if the site is using a font that's not on your system and they aren't sending the font info to the browser and Windows is doing it's best to find a match. Mindovermaster Global Moderator Posted September 22, 2022 Global Moderator Share Posted September 22, 2022 I'd clear your cookies and other stuff. It might have had a site upgrade that doesn't use the same font that it had recently. It's weird. I went on another computer in the office with the same widescreen display and it looked fine. I'm looking at a few of the pages on my home PC and it's fine too. I installed the nVidia P400 driver and it didn't make any difference.
