Resetting / Gifting Switch

Hi, I have a Nintendo Switch that I just don't use, it's maybe seen about 4 hours of use in it's entire life.

I plan to give it to my niece, she will use it, fair play.  But it has my account details on it - can I remove them?  I'm pretty sure I can, but if I do, and then set it up with her details (in fairness, will be her mothers as she's a minor) will all the games I have purchased be lost, or is there some way to transfer them?

Or am I best just leaving my details on there and removing payment details - that way she can keep the games, etc?

 

Heck, I could change my name and email address on the Nintendo account?

If you're looking to keep the same account but change something like the email then yes you can: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/How-to-Change-Your-Nintendo-Account-E-mail-Address-1462907.html#:~:text=Complete These Steps%3A&text=Select "User info%2C" then,%2C then click “Submit.”

Unfortunately if you wanted to change your account ID(Nintendo network ID) you can't...

That’s what I did. Removed my payment details and just repurposed the account for her. Achieves what it needed to achieve
