patseguin Global Moderator Posted March 1, 2023 Global Moderator Share Posted March 1, 2023 This has been an annoyance for a while now and wondered if anyone knew if there's a way to change it. Every time I want to open a file or save or something, the dialog box is always scrolled to the bottom. Why is that? See pic. Is there a way to always make those dialogs always at the top or even a default folder? I have a lot of network drives and shared folders and it's a big pain having to scroll up to the top every time. 90% of the time I'm opening or saving files that are on Deskop. +virtorio MVC Posted March 1, 2023 MVC Share Posted March 1, 2023 The sidebar in Windows 11 can be pretty frustrating to use if the "Show all folders" option is turned on. If it's turned on, try turning it off and see if it helps. I actually don't have any of those options under navigation pane turned on Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1426429-file-dialog-always-scrolls-to-bottom/#findComment-598802467 Share on other sites
