Required Laptop under Rs 85000

What area are you in? Care to post a few stores near you so we can get some ideas?

Have any models you are looking at? Or are you just going blind?

MOST of us are in the US/Canada or UK area.

He lists in rupees so probably India.

In the specs listed, you don't say whether you require a dedicated / discrete graphics card or not. Does that mean integrated graphics will be enough?

Also what purpose is this for? Gaming? Or work? video Editing?

Well, being what he's asking for is around 1k USD. At that price, he doesn't really have a chance for dedicated video.

Hello,

If this is for work and you need an ultra-portable, perhaps a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 gen 9?  The gen 10 is the current model, but the gen 9 is still quite fast.

Hi All,

Apologies, if I was not clear. I need this for work, not gaming. But it should support Photoshop correctly. Indeed, I'm from India. I usually buy directly from online company websites.

Also, I'd prefer quality features over portability. Laptop weight is not a problem. laptop 14 inch or 15 inch is required.

Also, please note there is a price difference. $2000 laptop won't be the same as the equal priced laptop in India. One can visit sites like Dell India etc to understand this.

Please let me know if anything else is required to zero in on a solution.

I found a match => https://www.dell.com/en-in/shop/laptops-2-in-1-pcs/inspiron-16-laptop/spd/inspiron-16-5620-laptop/bts-icc-c783531win8

But if something better can be found, please let me know

Check these Ryzen 7 7735U laptops with Radeon 680M gfx inside (the ones priced at 83k) https://www.hp.com/in-en/shop/laptops-tablets.html?graphics=amd-radeon+amd-radeon-graphics&processorfamily=amd-ryzen™-7-processor

Also I know you said you'd buy directly from OEM stores like HP, but I found this decent deal on Flipkart on the be2046AU model. its 83k on HP but 80k on flipkart: https://www.flipkart.com/hp-pavilion-aero-2023-ryzen-7-octa-core-7735u-16-gb-1-tb-ssd-windows-11-home-13-be2046au-thin-light-laptop/p/itm0c9f674e0ebbd

^ these are really good for gaming (blows the Intel Iris Xe integrated gfx away as they are 50% faster than Intel). It's also decent in photoshop but will fall behind in video editing due to Intel QuickSync)

Here's a decent Intel i7 12th Gen option https://www.hp.com/in-en/shop/laptops-tablets/hp-pavilion-laptop-14-dv2015tu-6k9j2pa.html

You can also go for the dell option you chose yourself.

The i7 version of that is 90k Rs..

Doesn't your job (unless it's your own) get good discounts on that and other systems?

I may get small discount, not a great one. I found that I could get about Rs3000 discount on it. But still I'm awaiting for a better season. I'll buy in April-May time.

13inch becomes small for my work. The last link with 14inch looks great. It even gives 1 TB SSD which is great!! Included in my options! Do you have any idea about the build quality of the laptop?

Thank you guys. Really appreciate your help. Please let me know if there are still options available.
