splatnix
Primary connection (Hungary): 48kbps GPRS baby! Service through Vodafone Hungary for HUF6,000/month (about US$30). Yes it's slow, but since I'm on a laptop 100% of the time, it's nice to be connected WHEREVER I AM. PannonGSM (my voice mobile provider) is supposed to begin deploying their EDGE service before the end of the year - I could deal with 300kbps-500kbps reguardless of where I am in Hungary. ;) Secondary connection (Hungary): I do have a network drop off someone's 256kbps down/256kbps up cable modem via Chello. I can use it whenever I want, Mon-Fri, during business hours. Cost is a bottle of cheap vodka to the business's owner every so often (2 bottles in 5 months) (HUF450 - @ US$2.25). Hopefully once I start working at IBM in June (work permits are a "60 to 90 days" PAIN!), I'll be able to continue using this connection over the weekends when I'm in Budapest. Primary connection (USA): Back home there's an uncapped/unlimited 3mbps down/256kbps up cable modem, through Adelphia Powerlink for $39.95/month, that my mother and sister are abusing.
