stumper66
This drives me crazy. I have Windows 11 and an nVidia GPU. Every time I open notepad, nVidia has to open that notification on the upper right corner of the screen saying if I want to take in-game screenshots then I can press Alt+Z. Not only is this annoying because notepad isn't a game, it will also steal the focus for a second. Many times I'm opening a text file and doing a search. When this popup appears it takes the focus to change from the search window back to the normal window, and suddenly I'm typing stuff in the document rather than the search window. Does anyone know how to disable this for specific application such as notepad? hellowalkman 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1427604-notepad-nvidia-press-altz/ Share on other sites
Descartes
I vaguely remember having a similar issue with other apps. This is a shot in the dark, but can you go to the Xbox overlay (Windows + G) then the settings menu and check if in the general settings the checkbox that says "remember this application as a game" is checked? If it is, unchecking it should fix it. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1427604-notepad-nvidia-press-altz/#findComment-598810553 Share on other sites
neufuse Veteran Posted April 4, 2023 Veteran Share Posted April 4, 2023 I get that with anything that is DirectX accelerated it seems like, I have business apps that do the same thing because the grids in them use DirectX acceleration...
