It just seems like a common thing people would run into if they bought what I did... seems more common for people such as myself to forget anything or everything deemed irrelevant at the time. If you suspect you know what products it may have come with, can't you Google those products and see what's in the boxes?

You'd think I could. Problem is, no matter what angle I take a picture of that plastic block... nothing shows up on Google. If there were pictures of parts that are in boxes, a reverse image search.. or Google Lens, should have found it. Seeing as the pictures from the manufacturers would have been up long before I went looking for them. I can take a screw out of my parts box, take a photo.. Lens it, and voila.. it comes back. This doesn't. That's why I'm relying on the eyes of others.. I cannot possibly be the only person on the planet that has it... 'cause I didn't create it. +hedleigh, SnoopZ and Mindovermaster 3 Share

Would there be any unboxing videos on YouTube if you can think of anything computer related to search that you have bought seeing you said you found it in your computer parts stash? xMorpheousx416 1 Share
Jim K Global Moderator Posted April 21, 2023 Global Moderator Share Posted April 21, 2023 No idea what it is. Looks like it may be a holder for something...appears to be a mounting screw and a plastic guide (but that "<-- Move -->" puts that in doubt) . I can not see it belonging to a computer specific thing (like a water cooler...unless it held a square shaped reservoir). I would just throw it away...guaranteed in a few weeks you will find whatever it belonged to. spaceelf
I could easily see it being a fan control wired to a radiator when the wiring is actually in it. Or an ease of use attachment to an existing part. It's just a plastic housing piece from anything we can see, not that important. I'd probably hold on to it for ten years, never use it, then throw it away. Heh. xMorpheousx416 1 Share

xMorpheousx416
Might as well, everything seems to be needed just after you take the trash out. Mindovermaster 1 Share
xMorpheousx416
Well, let's consider this treasure hunt for unknown answers an enigma for the time being. Thanks to those who gave it a shot... I think I'll can the item and let nature take it's course. Like we've all agreed, you really never need something until you throw it away.
Monkeyjoejoe
Most likely its a shipping spacer or a case side panel lock. xMorpheousx416 1 Share
