alphamale
Hi I had to setup a new computer and they have made the OS so annoying I have been looking for a fix and I found something that has really made me mad. Several How to's on stopping the trending searches and other nonsense in the search box. So I go to 22H2's Regedit. The fix was to create a explorer folder and then a dword. MS has done that now and they created a dword "nosearchinterenttryharderbutton". That is just mean. I can't turn off the "firewall is off" notice either, this install is driving me mad. would any of you guys have any information on how to overcome this? I tried changing the value on their dword and it had no effect. I created the dword per the instructions and no effect. You can turn off any related settings and they have no effect Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1427980-win10-search-box-results/ Share on other sites

cooky560 Veteran Posted May 1, 2023 Veteran Share Posted May 1, 2023 Try using "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions" since that just seems like a troll dword name.
