kiddingguy
I would like to upgrade (kinda for a dime) RAM in a very old notebook; Dell Latitude E4310 All hardware support is no more. I know that Dell is/used to be very picky on RAM installed. I found 'G.Skill DDR3 8GB(2x4GB) 1066MHz CL7' RAM, (EAN: 4711148594820) and was wondering if this kit is compatible? And if not, what affordable RAM is?
Mockingbird
It should be compatible according to the specs here Latitude E4310 Setup and Features Information Tech Sheet (dell.com)

These Crucial-sticks are a bit too pricy for the purpose I'm using this notebook. But the manual is very generic. And I've heard/know from back then (around 2010) that Dell notebooks would not accept all memory sticks and they should be like "Dell compatible". Or maybe times have changed...?!
