Administrators Posted May 15, 2023 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2023 If you have Windows slideshow set for your wallpaper or any sort of Live wallpaper, like in my case "DesktopEarth" and "Automatically pick an accent color from my background" enabled in Personalization > Colors then File Explorer will refresh every time the desktop updates. To avoid this Right-click on your desktop Select 'Personalize' In the left-hand side of the menu that comes up, select 'Colors' Check the toggle "Automatically pick an accent color from my background" - turn it to OFF Pick a color And that's it - Explorer should stop refreshing now as the accent color is static.
