+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted May 21, 2023 Subscriber² Share Posted May 21, 2023 Another simple question: What is your default web browser in 2023, regardless of which OS you're using? For me, it's Microsoft Edge. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1429401-what-is-your-default-web-browser-in-2023/ Share on other sites

Mindovermaster Global Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Global Moderator Share Posted May 21, 2023 I use Microsoft Edge lately. I used to be on Vivaldi. Had problems with Vivaldi. WiltshireHam
Google Chrome at the moment, but Edge seems to be aggressively trying to make me use it. Max Norris
Used to be Firefox but Edge is just working so well that I can't say no to it anymore. Has Chrome's "just works" under the hood but a lot of nice additions that put it over the top. For example, split screen works very well, easier than Vivaldi's (which is a little more flexible granted) and Firefox's side view is meh at best, never mind some sites are a little hit or miss with it occasionally. I really want to like Vivaldi but there's always something that turns me off of it every time I try it. Yea Edge pushes Bing a bit heavily at times but as long as you can change it to something else, whatever, click done never see it again. Also running it on my Plasma and Android devices so everything's covered. MS Bob 11
Google Chrome because it has not fooled around with the UI or features too much over the years. Cannot stand Edge's bloat, nags and unnecessary unintelligent "improvements" made to Chromium. Also I don't trust Microsoft one bit, they will pull the rug from under your feet all over again at any point. They love to reset everything and start from scratch over and over again after badly screwing up any software. As for Firefox, it's out of the question as it's screwing with power users for many years now by reducing options and customization of basic features. Dadwen
Firefox, Edge is way too excessively annoying in it's nagging, I'd go to Chrome if I ever left Firefox on principle alone.
