jnelsoninjax
I need a nice pair of headphones that are wired and over the ear, they can not be Bluetooth. I can only hear from one side, so I do not require anything fancy. Noise cancelation would be nice, but are not a requirement. Mindovermaster Global Moderator Posted August 7, 2023 Global Moderator Share Posted August 7, 2023 (edited) I bought this one maybe a year ago. I got them cheaper, but they are a GOOD budget headset. https://www.amazon.com/EKSA-Cancelling-Headphones-Compatible-Controller/dp/B07PRVS98X I don't even use the microphone. Mic is detachable. Good noise cancelling and OK Bass. neoraptor
I got Sennheiser HD 599SE from amazon (de) more than an year ago. Quite happy with the ergonomics as I'm using them for couple of hours each day. Sound is good as well but that is subjective (if you are used to boomy bass, might sound a bit flat). goretsky 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1432136-im-looking-for-some-over-the-ear-headphoneswired/#findComment-598841369 Share on other sites
spikey_richie
I would recommend anything from AKG. I know you don't want bluetooth, but my Y50BT's served me very well for a long time. goretsky 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1432136-im-looking-for-some-over-the-ear-headphoneswired/#findComment-598841381 Share on other sites

goretsky Supervisor Posted August 8, 2023 Supervisor Share Posted August 8, 2023 Hello, I have had good results with Audio Technica, Bose, Jabra, Plantronics, Sennheiser, and SONY headphones in the past. The last couple of headphones I purchased were hybrid corded/Bluetooth models, but worked just fine when plugged in. A friend of mine who is deaf in one ear uses a FIIO-brand DAC/amplifier to convert/mix stereo audio into one monaural output. You might want to look into something like that as well. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky Thanks, @goretskyI am looking at the DAC, but they have quite a selection, and I'm not sure which one to consider. I went with Seinheiser HD 400S https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NFQ9FQQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details, they will be here tomorrow.
