Anyone have experience with Thermalright CPU Coolers? I am considering the Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB CPU Air Cooler, 6 Heat Pipes CPU Cooler for a build. I have seen good reviews for it, but I know no one who has used one.

Hello,

It has been a while since I've used a Thermaltake cooler, but I seem to recall it worked very well.

More recently, I purchased a couple of their mATX cases and they are well-designed and easy to work with, so I'd expect their other products to be of similar quality.

Thanks for the reply but it was for Thermalright, not Thermaltake. Easy to mistake them.

Thermalright makes good coolers. I used one way back in the day for my Athlon 64 build.

However, it might be better to ask for recommendations (based on a budget and height requirement) rather than asking about one specific cooler.

I will go up $75. I have looked at a number of coolers (thermaltake, noctua etc.), and I saw all the positive reviews on the Thermalright.  Right now I am using a cooler master 212 on my current build.

There a reason why you need to upgrade? If you are having temp problems, re-grease it..

Hello,

Oops, thanks for catching that!  I'll re-check my online orders to see if I've used anything from them in the past.

The Phantom Spirit or whatever their newest one is the overall best, but the Peerless Assassin and Frost Spirit are both good, as well.  I have only used the Peerless Assassin, though on a 7700X, 3800X, and 5600X.  No issues after several years.  Get whichever is cheaper, or looks the best to you.  I always the the grey one.

Hardware Canucks has several good air cooler videos, as well and they love them for the price.
