Make sure that you have KB5031455 (Windows 11 Moment 4 Update) installed through Windows Update.

Reboot

Congratulations, you have updated to Windows 23H2!

This might be a silly question but does this mean I will always have to manually install these major updates when running Windows 11 on unsupported hardware?

Yes.

Fortunately, Microsoft only released such updates once a year.

maybe the first sentence should be edited to read "Make sure that you have KB5031455 (Windows 11 Moment 4 Update) OR newer installed through Windows Update."
