My thought are, whilst the CPU can easily be bested these days by lower-end mid-range laptops, the GPU is still faster than basically all Intel iGPUs or AMD Vega iGPUs, even with its 2 GB VRAM.

First I would up the RAM. Dual channel is a whole lot better. AFAIK, it should have 2 memory slots. (Sorry if it doesn't)

As for price, I would put it as $250. Others will say different, but that's my view.

Ill leave the details on prices for others (as I have not really followed this sort of stuff in years especially given I avoid laptops). but off the top of my head...

-For general usage it's got to be more good than bad as I think at the very least it's a respectable laptop (although if I was going to use that as a primary use computer I would likely upgrade it to 16GB of RAM, but 8GB of RAM is still passable for many people).

-For gaming... it's probably too weak for fairly recent games (say about the last 5-7 years). but anything around 10 years old or older it's probably passable even if you have to lower resolution one plays the games at.

but personally... if I could not get 'at least' $50-100 out of it (it could be possible to get more but I can't imagine too much more given it's age etc), I would probably not even bother selling it unless you were desperate for some cash.

This laptop with a similar processor and video card, sold for $315.

It does however have a bigger SSD and more memory.

Personally, I would upgrade the SSD and memory because those are cheap these days.

Agreed on the price but not sure he can get a better return putting more RAM into it unless can score it for free.

Yeah, I think Mindovermaster hit the price point but again don't think buying RAM and SSD retail is going to get you a good return. Sure if getting a really great deal or one piece free.
